I was putting together a solo experience (time alone with God) for tomorrow morning for my students when Kelsey pointed me to this video. It is incredible and a great way to just meditate on the characteristics of the Almighty. Take three minutes and thirty-eight seconds when you have a chance to just be and enjoy...

Only time will tell, but this highlight excites me about the possibility of things to come. Oh, what a little music and solid video editing can do.

From the unlikeliest of places...

Today in chapel Kelly Monroe Kullberg showed us a video clip that absolutely shocked me. First off, Kelly is amazing. She is the founder of the Veritas Forum which facilitates presentations at Universities across the country. They provide a place for truth to be discussed on college campuses. Difficult questions are asked and the person of Jesus Christ, in all his brilliance, is discussed as the ultimate Truth. The results have been outstanding. Check out the links.

Now, this video sent chills down my spine as I watched. Coming from a place you would never expect are people crying out to God. They may or may not be cognizant of what they are singing but it is an awesome look ahead to the day when we will all cry out to Him and it's a beautiful thing...

Like...ya know?!

Taylor Mali (using an art called "slam poetry") calls our generation out for our lack of conviction...for our unwillingness to make absolute claims. For not wanting to step out on a limb because someone might disagree with us.

This video is really funny and REALLY good. What he says is so true. Watch and listen closely to his message. I've watched it lots and it fires me up each and every time.

Be like Brett

Yes, I know it's a cheesy title (one of many that I've attempted to create). But, I like Brett Favre. His life really has a lot of characteristics that I'd like to have. You may think I'm crazy for making a comparison to Brett, but I can't help but like the guy.

He's been through a lot. He's made his share of mistakes.
I know I'll go through a lot. I've already made my share of mistakes.

But, I like that he still smiles. He still acts like a kid (this one's my favorite). He keeps going despite the doubters. He's courageous. He's creative. He soaks up life. Not to mention, he's pretty darn good looking.
