Spiritual Life Retreat...Sweet!

Last weekend about 30 of us travelled to the outskirts of Klaipeda, Lithuania. By outskirts, I mean we were out in the middle of NO where and I loved every minute of it. The fresh air, the lone cow mooing in the morning and all day, the rooster crowing, the freezing cold room, the 2 fireplaces and playing cards beside them, the crisp sunny Fall Saturday Notre Dame football day, and the great company of people from all over the world. The weekend was a lot of fun filled with your basic high school group games. I was the loser of the group and received the punishment of make up all over my face. Notice I DID NOT post those pictures. Wow! Being with Latvians, Lithuanians, Ghanans, Ukrainians, Russians, Albanians, Belarussians, Americans, and probably others is quite an experience that I am thankful to be blessed enough to have. As I stand around sometimes I say to myself, "You are in LITHUANIA!! Why? Like, everyone around you is speaking Lithuanian or Russian!!! This is crazy and so so cool!" God is daily stretching me as I strive to be more like his son Jesus! Pray for me as I seek to live like Jesus and serve others with His perfect love! It's hard but so worth it. If you are reading this, I love you! Posted by Picasa
